At some point in your life most of you have probably experienced acne whether it's been mild or severe. I'm going share with you a couple things that helped me and hopefully they will help you too.
Eating clean. Great skin comes from within. Whatever you put in your body, is gonna show up on your skin. It's basically a message board of what's going on inside. With that being said, you can put all the top end products on your face but if your not doing the work (eating good) you're just wasting your time.
Incorporating a smoothie into your diet is a great way to get your intake of fruit and veg for the day, especially dark leafy greens. And while i'm on the subject of smoothies, what's up with people that add sugary fruit juice to their smoothies??? fruit already contains natural sugar (fructose) whereas fruit juice is full of refined sugar which should be consumed in moderation. If your skin is anything like mine, eating too much sugar will leave you with spots so be careful. Another thing that caused me to breakout badly was dairy and when i cut it out of my diet my skin cleared right up. You might want to do your own research on dairy and then that should make sense to you. Just know it hurt my soul to give up cheese lol vegan cheese is not too bad though. If you can't cut out dairy just cut back on how much you consume. You don't need to be perfect when it comes to food - just be conscious.
Drink a lot of water. It will do wonders for your complexion. This ties in with my hair post. It's all connected.
Exfoliate. When old skin cells start to pile up it can leave your skin looking dry and dull. furthermore, the build- up of dead skin cells can result in excess oil and clogged pores leading to blemishes and acne. So, make sure you exfoliate only once a week, as over doing it can leave your skin dry, irritated and damaged
Limit stress. Stress aggregates skin conditions such as acne, hives, eczema, psoriasis and rosacea and while there's no way we can remove stress from our lives, we can limit it by changing how we deal with it. When you're feeling overwhelmed by stress, try to first figure out what is causing you stress and then be pro-active. You can reduce stress by nurturing yourself. Do things you enjoy e.g. curling up with a good book, meditating, going for a walk etc
Sleep. I've heard lack of sleep can cause acne so, make sure you're getting plenty of rest every night because those bags are not a pretty sight either. And remember to remove all distractions from your room beforehand.
